Case Details

This 58 year-old woman underwent breast augmentation with breast implants filled with 400 ml saline 16 years ago.  She developed Sjogren Syndrome, Raynaud’s phenomenon, brain fog, and lupus and was concerned her implants were contributing to that.  After visiting with Dr. Kunkel in his plastic surgery office near the Fort Worth Medical District she decided to have her implants removed.  Her surgery took place at a Fort Worth hospital and she went home the same day.  Dr. Kunkel performed capsulectomies, removed both of her breast implants, and did breast lifts.  She noticed some improvement in her symptoms, and loved the new look and size of her breasts!  She wore a 38DD bra before surgery and 38D after.  Her ‘after’ result is shown 6 months later.  Keep in mind that each person is unique, and individual results will vary.
